Game Failing on Build for Windows Error says facebook is missing files?

so the game runs fine in the editor but when i go to build i get the following errors:

   error CS0006: Metadata file `C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\Facebook/Managed/UnityEngine.dll' could not be found
    
    Compilation failed: 1 error(s), 0 warnings

Error building Player because scripts had compiler errors

UnityEditor.BuildPlayerWindow+BuildMethodException: Build failed with errors.

Thing is im not building for facebook, im building for windows so im not sure where facebook comes into play?
either way im lost any help would be appreciated thanks

You can copy the “Managed” folder from “C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\windowsstandalonesupport” to the “C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\Facebook” folder and this should resolve your problem.

As a temporary solution, if you don’t need to build for the Facebook platform, you can just delete the following folder: “C:\Program Files\Unity\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\Facebook”.

Updating Unity to the latest version worked for me.
