GAME finish : Robber Runner (video)

Getting a bit of a dissonant vibe from the semi-realistic gun and shooting sound over the rest of the more cartoony visuals and gentle menu music, sniping them like a lone gunman also might be seen as a bit violent?

If you don’t change anything else, perhaps consider re-thinking the title at least? “Runner” is a genre and people are going to find this in their app store and expect a rather different game because of that title I suspect

Very interesting idea and game-play. One thing immediately catch my eyes is the art style.
The art looks not like an art direction but incomplete. Feeling like 3dsMax’s default scene settings.
Maybe adjust the sky direction light into blueish (Afternoon), yellowish (Evening) or other colors.
Are you using real-time lighting for the whole environment? I strongly suggest to bake into lightmaps.
Since most of the props (Buildings) are static and the final outcome will surely better than this.
Then you can use Blob Shadow or a simple alpha textured shadow plane for those moving objects.
The sound effects and background music are good. It’s suitable for the theme.
Quick questions, why the health will deduct in the middle of the game-play? Missed shoot on buildings?
Finally both rotating icons above buildings can be bigger to indicate more clearer to player.
Use a different shader for the best if possible. That’s it. Keep it up.:wink:

i will try the shadows, and make mor big the rotating icons
and just for a record… this is a game to test how goes on the mac store OSX .
maybe - i will give a promo code here or a scene test for got more acurracy comments.
but ingneral i apreciatte so much really … a lot your comments and help ! :slight_smile:

each robber runner
can choose (basic IA) randomly to run or hide, to chosse ramdonly the direction to run, randonmly shoot, or speed, or directly go to home … etc

thanks again … i dont know how bake lights and shadows … and i think i am using a real time run time lights and shadows …

This is a big knowledge. Simply says mark all environment objects into static.
Switch all lighting into baked light mode and hit bake in lighting tab. (Ctrl+9)
The auto baking is turned on by default. You can turn it off and manually bake yourself.
You can set atlas size, lightmap resolution, GI, indirect lighting and so on.

Thans I apreciate so much really !!!
all day learning this , (bake + lightmapping) and i am finish seven hours later with out stop.
now i just need the blow shadow.
and i am on it … ithink i got it too
and the performance is better now … picture below (before and after)
