Alright, here is a quick image I put together of my first game. Tell me what you think and suggestions on how it looks.

Thanks in advance.

Different Variation

Another Variation, which one looks best?

It’s hard to give input when next to nothing is known about the game, understandable that you don’t want to give any information out though

I was more of asking on the “look” of the game.

…and I was more suggesting that the look should be influenced by the game itself.

Given that the image is 3 cubes and a man, all I can really say is that the fact that the man is somewhat shaded doesn’t really suit the 3 cubes. I’d probably make it a single colour so it’s a silhouette.

Though maybe being shaded like that suits your game.

I like the look.

Feels compelling. I hope those blocks do something really profound,…heh ee

Something like this needs some ambient awesomeness to listen too.

The character looks a bit plain to me, imho. I understand it’s easier for a player to ‘project’ themselves into it, though.

My first thought was to keep him white, simple, like a mannequin, but maybe an accessory like goggles or a backpack, textured in the same vain as the cubes.

oh.,.and I am not fond of his stubby feet. :stuck_out_tongue:

A little more profound color then? To make the character stick out more?

The blocks and what they do is basically the whole game. I’ll be looking in music very soon. The player is supposed to be plain, for performance reasons, and easier for the player to handle. (As what you were saying) I could look into throwing some type of accessories (possibly as upgrades.) Heh, me either but it might be a temporary character.

Even just an almost white pure colour, let the glow around the character do the work
I think it would look cool just to have this glowing silhouette as the character.

Something like that? or to that effect?

Similar, I mean have the character white and keep the coloured glow.

Here is another few.

Heck yes!

I have to admit it does look a lot better, but I’ll mess with it a bit try to get better “feel” for it.

Thanks for the tips!
