[GAME] Rexona Energizing X Race - FWA

Hey guys,

Our team is very proud to announce to the community our new Unity based game. It’s a shopping cart race game, and you can choose between 10 tuned shopping carts and 3 characters for the race. All the website and the game are in portuguese, so, some tips for you, “Pular” means “Skip”, “Jogar Agora” means “Play Now”, and “Jogar Novamente” means “Play Again”.
The keys for playing are on the loading screen.

Special thanks to ToreTank who helped us solving a big problem on Unity tangent importing.

That looks awesome! You guys down in Brazil are really leading the pack in high quality advergames. I wish the market for that stuff was better up here in the US.

Awesome game.

Just what I was thinking.

So cool!Come on!!

Great quality! My only crit was the lack of music and the driving mechanics could be a bit better.

Great job on this.

Great game !

But the ambient light is too dark , bring on some sun light

Even screenshots with characters are very dark !
Its’ not an horror Racer , so why such dark mood ?

I played this a few times yesterday and I’m TERRIBLE! I can’t keep my kart going in a straight line for the life of me.

The game soundtrack is comming. About the darkness, it’s the intended mood. Look at the trailer and the website.

Your game looks awesome! Very polished and nice web-site integration! I can only judge by the screens though, since I can’t get past the loading screen. I tried running it a couple of times in Safari on MacOSX.

Maybe some problem in your connection os DNS, as the unity3d file is hosted in another server.

Awesome! Good overall style and consistency. The dark mood … okay: Personally, I like dark. If it fits the current Rexona commercial style. Why not? It’s certainly no flaw of the game.

I’d critisize the music and the controls though.
The music is very repetetive but the controls are a gamekiller, IMO. I’m not a racegame fan so maybe it’s just me but I found them to be very, very unresponsive. I found myself steering into a corner and not get out every few seconds. Don’t know if that’s a good thing for an advergame…

Overall I like it and I know how much work is in there. I’d vote for better controls. Really.
Otherwise very cool. Loking forward to your next project 8)

WOW, we just got a FWA S.O.T.D.

NICE!!!

Hi,

great job, particularly in the 3D character rigging and the texture bakings

Just one question : how long did it took to develop this game ?

I dev games too but the staff is just composed of…me, so I would like to have an idea to compare.

And oh, another question, how did you manage to get the loading progress in flash ?

Great Job. Graphics are pretty sick. Very Polished look all around.
