Game Tab Screen Resolution Is Weird :/

Hey, you all

I haven’t asked a question in here for a while because all the answers I get is: Learn to program! Idiot" or “Just go ahead and look it up before you ask this question”. But I am a way better programmer today though but why can’t you just answer because I never find anything on google or I don’t know how to google it (What I should search for). But my problem today is the screen resolution. So what I have been doing is that I am making a FPS game and I just made a HUD and I just made a script that shows it on the screen. I have two monitors, or a laptop that has a secondary monitor that I actually made primary, enough about that. But I am having the “Game” tab/window on the laptop screen. So when I hit play, I saw that it didn’t really fit where I wanted it to be, so I got a bit confused. But then I remembered that sometimes when you are making something and everything fits into the game tab resolution that doesn’t mean that it fits into everything when you build and run it. You might not know what I am talking about, do you? But what ever. But because of that I decided to build and run it and it opened on the big monitor and then the hud is basically just on the middle of the screen !!??!??!?! WTF? It is like 50% closer to the middle then it was on the game tab??? Also I tried to build and run in a smaller resolution and then it was different. Why can’t I, or how can I have a resolution on the game tab and just a one possible resolution that fits in the screen it would changes the resolution by the resolution on your monitor? Well, hopefully this is not too confusing to read. I can edit it, or if someone that gets it and knows that its weird, you can do it for me!

Please no hate :frowning:
Thanks

The reason why you will sometimes attract “haters” is that there’s an official Unity training video on this very subject… You should watch it and only post questions here if they remain unanswered:
