Sometimes when I play in game view, it randomly turns all grey. Then I switch to scene view and back to game view and it sometimes fixes it, but most of the time not. I try to close the game view tab, and open a new one, but then it is all black. What fixes it is re opening the project. it is really annoying. Im sure its not a coding problem because I exported to standalone and it worked fine. Anybody know what this is?

Yes, it sounds to me like you’ve run into this bug in Unity 5.4.
