Game View/previous working builds display Black

Hey everyone
I’m running into this issue that I haven’t been able to resolve. Whenever I try to load my game (whether it’s through unity’s game launch or a previous build or any game in Oculus Home) the display is black in the Rift/Game window. Sound still works. Interaction of buttons still work (can see things in the Scene view) Any ideas how to resolve? A notification pops up when I put the headset on that the Guardian System failed.

Steps taken to try to resolve:

  • Restart Oculus, Restart computer, Restart Unity
  • Check for NVIDIA driver updates (none)
  • Updated Unity to 5.5.0p2
  • Checked Oculus Home for updates to devices (aka just went to Devices page and nothing showed up needing to update)
  • Redid the Guardian Setup
  • Checked wires to be connected

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can’t use the rift at all right now.
Cheers
Will

It appears to be resolved now. Not sure which fixed it and I forgot which order I did these …

  • Moved Rift USB from a SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps port to a SuperSpeed USB port (according to Alienware X51 graphic)
  • Reran Sensor setup. Oculus crashed in the middle. Couldn’t restart Oculus, so I restarted computer.

I just opened up Unity and was able to run it now.
Sigh I hate how much debugging VR is
