I stumbled across this service this morning, and I have to say that I am really impressed. Press Releases, Facebook/Twitter integration, Company Groups with Personal Forums, etc. If you want to check it out, signup here. I have included my username in the link above so it will add you as my friend - we really should get a Unity group started here.
Not going to use your referral. No thanks.
Use this instead
Referrals do nothing but add you to my friends list when you sign up. Judging by the way you seem to think I am trying to get something out of this, I do appreciate that you decided to not use the link I posted. I normally do my best to refrain from being snappy on the forums, but why so much negativity - are we not after the same goals? Are we not in the same industry?
To the rest of you guys, use the referral or don’t, it just saves us a bit of time trying to find each other over there.
I signed up at Gameleon after we did our KrabbitWorld Origins press release on Gamespress. There’s a couple of things I’d like to see changed though… such as showing profile info and charging for press releases.
@krabbo - I just signed up for GamePress myself, how was your experience with your press release there? I have tried a few other services, but most press releases there fell on deaf ears.
It got picked up by a few other sites from there.
Don’t worry, that’s just Johan. Ignore him like the rest of us do.
We’re looking at starting a Unity group here - I’ll keep you posted.
OK… there is now a Unity group on Gameleon. Please note that the Unity forum is still the place to ask questions and discuss things - we aren’t actively pursuing Gameleon as a communication channel for the time being.
OK, we’re aware that we’ve been neglecting our users in the Balinese music community, so Unity now also has a Gamelan account. Sorry it has taken so long guys, but we’re there now!
My impression is that Gameleon is more relevant than facebook for ‘people like us’. (As a place to exchange thoughts and ideas with peers)
Certainly is entertaining when you see Journalists and Game Developers put together…
I mean… think about it… reviewers and devs hangin’ out in the same place… lmao…
