GameObject destroys itself randomly

I have a sphere with a rigidbody set to kinematic. My system has physics enabled, and there are other rigidbodies with kinematic off. When one of these other bodies go toward the sphere, the sphere will sometimes completely disappear. I only have OnCollider scripts attached to the auxiliary objects, not the sphere, so only the auxiliary objects get destroyed on contact. However, in instances where the sphere randomly gets destroyed, the system reads that there was never a collision.

Does anyone happen to know what it causing the sphere to randomly be destroyed?

All in all, I could not explain what’s wrong, however it seems to be something with the physics engine – objects moving too fast and colliding, perhaps? My situation could be simplified by not using a rigidbody on one of the objects.

What happened to me was another script was destroying things with a certain tag and I forgot to change the tag.
