GameObjectLocalizer doesn't update when the object is disabled?

Is this a bug? If it is intended behaviour how do I get around it?

See attached video: All the text objects in this scene have been localized with the localization scene controls, and have the GameObjectLocalizer monobehaviour. When opening the options menu (disabling the main menu) and then changing the language the main menu does not update when returning to it.

I think this may be a bug we fixed in 1.4.2 which is due out soon, hopefully, this week. If the issue still happens in 1.4.2 then do please file a bug report.
