Gameplay Recording and Sharing - Everyplay

Hi all,

We have recently released out Unity Plug so developers can build in gameplay recording and sharing; via YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. There are some great games live already and uploading thousands of player created videos. The SDK/Plugin can be found at http://www.everyplay.com or if you are interested in more information we have a webinar on 22nd Jan - check out http://everyplay0113.eventbrite.co.uk/ for more details.

or feel free to contact me directly on oscar@applifier.com

This looks really cool! Anyone using it and mind sharing their experiences?

Yeah, I’ve been using it for a couple of months now on a couple of my apps, one released and one im working on, works really well the team behind it are very helpful too. Let me put it this way, I’ll be adding it to every future game I make.

That’s very good to hear, thanks for the reply. Seems like a great way to get your games out there. Going to try and add it to the game I’m working on.

It’s really cool indeed, I hope it will help more developers gain traction.

BTW, does the plugin use encryption? I’m asking because of US export laws and the need to get a license as per the questions asked in iTunes Connect when you submit apps.

Hello, we have added the latest Everyplay plugin to a Unity iOS project. However, the Facebook sharing feature appears to do nothing. When sharing a recorded video with the Facebook option selected, no Facebook login is requested, and no post is made to Facebook. This is the same even for a blank project, with only a camera and Everyplay added. The rest of the plugin, and the other sharing features, all seem to work fine. Is there a known cause or solution for this?

@Evil Twin, check out Kamcord. They offer a very similar service for gameplay recording/sharing, and have no issue with Facebook sharing. We use them in our games and it works awesome!

Yeah except Kamcord cannot export to an .APK file which is odd. You can only build an Eclipse project with it for Android.

I’ve got this working, but I consistently get a “Not Uploading” GUI text on the screen. Just doesn’t create a viewable video? I’m running on a Samsung Galaxy S2, more than capable. I’m also building for Android OS target of 2.3 .
