Gametextures Injector - Instant material creation from Gametextures to Unity

Hi everyone - new here but wanted to announce a new tool we just finished up that might be useful for some of you.

We just finished putting together an alpha for Injector - a tool that instantly creates a material from any texture set in the gametextures library.

Basically it allows you to download a material from gametextures.com, instantly open it in Substance Player, then take the exported bitmaps and generate a material in Unity. We can set it up to download the substance directly to your folder, but we opted for a different approach in case you were using an older version of Unity for your project that was incompatible with the newest version of the Substance Engine.

It should be coming really REALLY soon.

Here’s a quick trailer, but some in depth tutorials, and live training should follow.

Thanks guys - and please hit us up with any suggestions or feature requests you might have

Is anyone else having issues with substance player not opening after downloading textures?

Me too. It worked for 1 of 3 materials I tried. Downloaded the substance version each time but I get the message telling me I didn’t when opening substance player. That and the one that did work gave me error messages about channels errors.

Great! this seems to be very good and usefu

Although this is only for the textures that are not already converted to substance material that can be imported directly on Unity without using this.

But the big problem is that it seems that the link to download it is missing as for example in this video where the link is wrong

Please does anyone know the right link to download this? I have already tried to search in google and could not find it yet.

Thanks for any possible help

I found also this other video

After searching more for this it seems that I did not find it because is not available anymore because they have replaced the injector software with the substance player and a custom template to make the same thing as the injector did, you can see it in the link above
