Hi i am at the stage in development where i would like some good honest feedback on my creation. here is the link if you want to just jump straight into it.
Gates of Hades will be a game Action/Arcade game that is kind of inspired by the Battle of Thermopylae and the Spartans. The game will be mainly aimed at mobile devices.
The time of Aries is upon us, War is coming. Rumor has it that Persians march south, therefore we shall march north!
Gates of Hades is a Action/Adventure game that is inspired by the Battle of Thermopylae and the 300 Spartans legendary story.
Take control of the Spartans as they march north to meet the Persian Empire that are expanding there empire into Greece led by the “God” King Xerxes I. Use the soldiers that you have to repel the enemy. You have archers, javalineers and Spartans Hoplites.
Come back with your shield, or upon it.

Hi all, i have a few updates about my game.
Firstly, I now have a little trailer for my game so that people can have a look at what the game plays like.
The game is also now on the google play app store because i think it was ready, i will update the main post to provide a link to anyone that is interested. If you find any bugs please tell me here. ios devices will have to wait sadly (i do not have a mac
)
I would still like to do some more stuff to the game, like a new game mode where the players army moves forward through a map. I would also like to add a statistics screen and a better high score system for the last level, achievement is also something i will eventually add. Possibilities are endless.
I have not yet played the game, but I think a more cinematic trailer would do well for this title. Although the gameplay looks very linear and formation driven, I think a cinematic trailer in the form of more action, more focus on individual units in battle, performing actions (like the movie trailer 300) would draw a larger interest.
You might be worried about false advertising, but you can show action that is not in the game for promotion purposes to gain interest in the title. It’s called marketing. ;)
Developing a more cinematic trailer might also spark ideas for new mechanics to incorporate into the game.
