Gear VR - Material Popping issue

I’ve been having this issue where depending on the angle I’m looking, a material will apply itself to every surface instead of the mesh that it was actually applied to. Using Mobile/Diffuse shader, Unity 5.0.1p3.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Issue appears resolved when switching to defferred rendering, but this adds huge fps issues to the project.
