We in illustrata (Alexander “alkemann”, Ronny and me), has spent the last three weeks learning Unity and this is the result so far:

You are mining asteroids rather than attacking creeps, but the core principle is classic tower defense.
I have been working with Unity for some time now, but the two guys went from zeros to heros in no time and have surpassed my Unity skills in many areas.
It still needs polish and designing/balancing the waves of asteroids to be a proper TD game. It also needs sound effects and music or ambient sounds.
Suggestions and crits?
Wow. For your team’s first time, this game really shines. It has a great UI and nice effects, congratulations.
I like how you can command the “towers” to target specific classifications of enemies (oldest, newest, weakest, etc). You don’t see that in a lot of TD games, and in some cases it is sorely needed.
Nice game, good concept and good graphics.
Just one thing, when you grab a stone, it is not easy to know that it is selected because the stone does not appear selected until you move your mouse on the right on he play panel.
Otherwise I like it.
@Nikko I don’t see quite what you mean. If you have a “tower” selected, it’s info will be in the right panel and you will see it’s shooting range indicated around it in the gameworld. If you have a asteroid selected, you will see it’s “health” called Rocks, it’s destruction value and any effects currently on it, in the right panel, as well as a glowing blue light just above it.
If you have a bug where this does not happen, could you make a screenshot or describe it a little bit clearer? Thanks.
And thanks for the good comments guys.
I mean you should drag and drop it.
Right now when you drag it you don’t see it visually before you move on the play vortex thing.
I think it is confusing, because you don’t know what’s going on at first.
It seems pretty fun so far! I look forward to playing a finished product of this
