Hey all,
I have a few questions that I have been trying to find(or understand) the answers to. 1.) What is the difference between saving a project and saving a scene? 2.) I have colliders on the terrain and the character, but when I add a spotlight to the character, save, and then come back to it the character either clips through the terrain by a few feet or doesn’t clip at all. I end up deleting the character and starting over. 3.) I am trying to make a large world (roughly half the size of Fallout 4, but cannot seem to understand the size dimension I should set. I have seen that 1block equals 1 meter, but that seems to be dependent upon factors in the settings. Or is it a scaling issue with the character or objects in the world? 4.) I am trying to be able to make a terrain that varies vastly from mountains to low caves and underground areas, any suggestions on the what to set the height to? 5.) And lastly…I am trying to add an ocean, but I cannot figure out how to lower the terrain to make this possible.
any help with any of these issues would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a book to read and probably not in the right spot, so sorry in advance if the questions are poorly written or ignorant questions. I am completely new to this and there is a lot to learn, so your information and expertise is invaluable at this point.
First tip: if you split that text into properly formatted questions and you will get answers.
Sorry first post to any thread ever so I am not sure what the ideal way to format my questions is. But I get what you are saying. I will try to break this into separate questions.
Thanks for the advise.
