Geo Cell - Single and Multiplayer Game

This package is now available on the Asset Store

We have called the game “Geo Cell” and it is a Single Player and Multiplayer Game running on Desktop (PC / OSX), iOS, Apple TV (and Android but haven’t tested that yet)

In a nutshell …

The aim of the game
To stay alive as long as possible.
Your player will grow slowly so you need to find pickups that shrink you.
Everything else you will want to avoid!!

- this is a pickup that will make you smaller

Controls for this webplayer
Click and hold the left mouse button and move your player around to avoid the enemy

Platforms it is developed for
Desktop, iOS and TVOS
Controls are all customised for each platform
It is also cross-platform Multiplayer

Testing Multiplayer
If you want to test out multiplayer just start up to browser windows… or wait for someone else to come along

Game doesn’t run in my browser
Not to worry, here is the PC version of the game.
Can build for OSX if requested ( support@wireddevelopments.com )
If you want to try out multiplayer just copy / paste the game a few times and load them all up.

Code & Documentation
All code is 100% documented and easy to follow so you can change / extend this to make the game you have in mind. You can download the full documentation here to help you understand and edit / customise the game template

Recorded a 6 player multiplayer game with God Mode on so it is easier to show multiplayer in action. Normally if a player touches something they die!

Interested to here what people think about the concept in general and also if people are interested in the package if we make it available on the Asset Store?

  • Worth noting if you play the Single Player game for 30 seconds you’ll quickly understand what the gameplay is (if you are confused by anything in the video) :).

The gameplay seems to be focused to mobile devices, rather than all devices. Also, 2D games without many animations might not be eye-candy for clients.

Quick Single Player game snapshot for you.

Thanks for the feedback. The package is a template for developers to add their own art to it (or use the existing art if they wish) but all the code is there and should allow them to release a game similar to say “No Humanity” no worries (with single player and multiplayer obviously). It is definitely a mobile (and TVOS) style game but can obviously work on PC and OSX seamlessly also.
