Get GUI to look exactly as it does in the editor as it does on my iPhone 4

The editor has three settings I’m interested in: iPhone Tall 320x480, iPhone 4G Tall 960x640, and iPhone Tall 2:3. All of them are a little different in size, none of them completely fit my monitor. What my problem is, is that my GUI is too different from when its on its in the editor compared to when its running on my phone. Things are smaller and off centered when built and running.

How do all you guys and gals get around this? How do you make your GUI work on both non retina iPhones, iPads, AND iphone 4s?

Is there a way to make the editor window display the exact same thing my phone will?

the editor will show exactly like it will on the devices if you set the project to iOS. then the game window has a corresponding dropdown above the rendering area and if you ensure that your screen is large enough its fine (you likely have too little space for iphone4 and ipad if it does not work out

One of the ways I get around this is to tear off the game tab into it’s own floating window. That way I can resize the window to be large enough to display the whole game, regardless of my monitor’s resolution. Mind you, if the window gets too big some of it will be offscreen, but at least the GUI elements are the proper size.

Other than that, I typically work in iphone Tall (480x320) because it allows me to save desktop space. If you use things like Screen.width instead of hard coded values for GUI elements and use resolution modifiers you should be able to work in the smaller resolution with the knowledge that it will work identically on the higher resolution.
