I read in a post on stackoverflow that you can submit the app without the binary but I based on what I have seen this is no longer possible. It seems you cannot submit without the binary and the binary is submitted through the application loader. Is there any other known way to get the itunes/app store link to my app before I submit the binary?
Even though you must upload a binary via the application loader, you can still “add new app” via iTunes connect at any time and upload the binary later. This will give you the app’s ID in advance for linking purposes.
I ended up using - itms://itunes.apple.com/app/id?mt=8
This seems to be what I wanted.
Hi,
This is a 3 years old thread so I’m wondering if the link format as changed.
I haven’t submited my app yet but everything is set up in itunes connect.
When I go to my iTunes connect>my app> view in App Store
I get a link like this:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/combo-kungfu-free/id585576874?ls=1&mt=8
I imagine that this link should work fine then.
I was wondering is there is any problem with the fact that it asks for the US store, is there a way to do a general link? not to a specific store?
Thanks a lot for the help

cool thanks a lot
If you use the US store link, it will still open the App Store in the user’s national App Store, only the intermediate web page will show the US store.
