GetButtonDown for joystick?

I’m trying to make the character do a jumping animation whenever you jump. But since I’m using a (PS4) controller and I’m starting the run animation based on whether you’re moving or not, it continuously triggers the run animation, which means when I jump it just keeps running. Basically, is there a way to do a GetButtonDown with a joystick? So when you move it left or right it acts like GetButtonDown? Sorry if I didn’t explain this very well.

Also, I’m using CrossPlatformInput for button presses.

The jump animation works if I’m either using my keyboard, or if I have the animator window showing (it doesn’t work in Maximize on Play either).
