Getting å, ä, ö characters in GUI?

I’m trying to make my first GUI and so far it works as expected. However I need to use the swedish characters å, ä, ö.
How can I do that?

Are you…

a) Using a unicode font?
b) Set text encoding as Unicode within the Unitron editor, or whichever you use?
