Whenever I use bloom to create a glow around lights, the glow is only visible at close range, unlike in real life where even distant lights (e.g. streetlights or car headlights) have a very noticeable aura around them. Is there any way to tweak the standard bloom effect to produce something like this?

Not a good solution but the only workaround I’ve found is to reduce the threshold and intensity of the bloom in the post processing volume together.
ultimately it boils down to creating your own post shader, and processing the pixels in the distance to have more strength.
