Getting "[ERROR] Error fetching streaming data." when I make a request

I’m trying to make any request in Muse but keep getting the error:

[ERROR] Error fetching streaming data.

I tried logging out and back in, but keep getting the error. Is Muse down at the moment?

I’m experiencing the same issue.

Same Issue here. Maybe Muse is down for update.

If so, its been down for 10 hours since this issue started early this morning around 2am danish time.
a bit disapointed that there is no status update on unity services that says its down, whenever its because of maintaince or a crash. it would be nice to know that its global and not a local issue

(I know Muse is in beta. dont get me wrong here. Its not about it being down. its about no info on it being down)

I also have that since yesterday evening and it’s still giving me that message for 16+ hours (also logged in/out).

Yup, I get the same message

Hi all! Thank you so much for letting us know, this is precisely what we need to know from our beta users! We are looking into this and will get back to you with updates.

Potential Fix I had this, and realised it was UBlock Origin killing some of the JavaScript! Worked once I added an exception. Might work for someone else.

I tried disabling it, and it hasn’t been working for me for about 2 weeks now (ever since I got my Closed Beta invite)

Thanks for the tip! Disabling uBlock Origin fixed Muse for me too!

I just got invited to the beta today. I’m also experiencing this issue and disabling uBlock Origin and other adblocking extensions did not fix it.

Tried on Opera, Chrome, and Firefox but had the same result each time.

Seems to be a 504 Gateway Timeout on the https://muse.unity.com/api/ai endpoint.

I’m receiving the same error and have added this site to my trusted sites. Thanks!

I’m using Ghostery on Firefox. Disabling it, refreshing and trying anew lead to a different error; although it’s one I had since I got invited:

Same issue, and the screen refreshes a few times, too.

The next attempt in the same conversation succeeds, so I can still use it, it’s just a bit annoying.

Is this going to get fixed?

Hi all, we are working to understand the underlying issue and appreciate your patience while we do so! We will provide an update once it’s up and running again.

If you have more details on your setup, browser, firewalls, chrome plugins, or similar - please share non-sensitive information with us here or in a jira support ticket. Thank you!

Hi again, with the help of you all, our beta community - we have now identified that the streaming data error might indeed originate from Ad blockers - many thanks!

In the interim, we ask you to disable them to be able to access Muse Chat. If you do, please let us know whether it works on your machine and if it did, which ad blocker you used. Again, thank you for your help and patience!

We are aware of other outlier scenarios which are not caused by ad blockers, for those cases, we ask you to provide as much context as possible by filling out this support ticket.

Best regards
The Muse Chat team

I am using uBlock Origin and Adblock for Chrome, Adding:

https://muse.unity.com/*.*

to trusted Sites, fixed the issue for both uBlock Origin and Adblock for Chrome.

I disabled AdblockPlus on Firefox for https://muse.unity.com/chat and that seems to fix the problem.

On a possibly related note,

It gives the appearance of me not being signed in, and when I do click that icon it just refreshes the page, every time.

Not working :frowning: . My default browser is Microsoft Edge (there is no adblocker on it) and I have Installed new clean Chrome and Firefox to try, but the same problem. Error fetching streaming data.
