Getting Final Cut Pro to run with Unity

When the latest version of Unity came out, there was some conflict with Apple Final Cut Pro and somehow the Compressor program of The FCP suite won’t launch.

I work as an editor and I need to get Final Cut Pro fully functioning again. Reinstalling the FCP software does not remedy the problem.

Does anyone know what I must do to get FCP working again?

Thanks so much for any help.

Mitch

Before the most recent OS update: 10.4.10 , with any Unity update/OS update, I had to reinstall the mac combo each time.

Depending on what version of FCP, Compressor is probably still running on Rosetta.

I have the latest vertsion of FCP 5 - I did a reinstall - still no go on Compressor. It quits on launch.

Is there some component of Unity that conflicts with Compressor?

I am in need here - I have two weeks to deliver product to the F/X network. Can someone from OTEE advise me?

Thanks.

Mitch

Try uninstalling Unity, but I doubt there is any conflict between FCP and Unity because Compressor works here with Unity installed.
Have you updated to OS 10.4.10? Do you have another machine to do a repair disc from?
