I just recently published my platforming game in Play Store. In the Store Settings sections of the Play Console dashboard, I selected “Action” as the category, as I felt it was the most suitable out of the choices (there was no options for “platformer”). I also selected the following tags: “Action”, “Adventure”, “Arcade”, “Casual” and “Platformer”.
The thing is, when I search my game in the Play Store, the only genre it displays beneath it is “Action”, and none of the other tags. I see a lot of other games in the Play Store showing multiple tags beneath the game, including “Platformer”, “Adventure”, among others. Just so I can try to increase visibility a little bit, what do I need to do to get these tags to appear beneath my game as well?
