I’m running Unity 2017.4.15f1 with Holotoolkit 2017.4.2.0 and when I try to run any scene including the toolkit examples the player does not get sent to my headset when I hit play. If i target PC Platform then it starts up Steam and does run in the player "somewhat "but the controllers don’t work.
I’ve double checked that I’m not running as admin as another post recommended but I’m 5 days in and still no luck. ANY help is appreciated.
Thanks ivan20071 for the response but I do have the XR settings and WMR SDK settings set up. Just when i hit play while targeting UWP it just goes to the standard unity play screen with no HMD support.
Just tried and same result. VR simulator not engaged when running with platform set to UWP then when i switch to PC it launches SteamVR and then loads in WMR but the controllers are disappear in the simulator as soon as the sample program loads.
Thanks, that’s the thread that I originally found and I double checked and I’m not running in admin mode. I feel like it has to do something with a computer setting or something to do with windows mixed reality for steamVR application since I can only get unity to react when I run through OpenVR but of course no controllers. I’m wondering if I need to use controller code other than the WMR prefabs? I’m about ready to format my computer and start from scratch lol (sledge hammer to smash the fly haha).
So I figured out that apparently when I added unity 2018.X to my computer that though my computer said that I was running 2017.X when I went into my program files only unity 2018.X was still installed. So my 2017.X project was not running within the correct environment. I downloaded the unity Hub and reinstalled unity 2017.X and then everything ran correctly.
