Getting started when you are a Unity (but not programming) noob

Just created my account, hi guys. I’ve been messing around with GameMaker:Studio, Stencyl, GameSalad, and here I am back here, with an appetite for real development.

I’m an amateur PHP developer, prefer to use OOP and MVC concepts, and am wondering what a good next step would be to take in order to get into using Unity as a dev platform for iOS and Android apps. I know a few different languages, and have no problem picking another one up. It’s all just syntax at this point.

I have an app on the iOS appstore right now that I made in GameSalad, and an almost completed app in Gamemaker, but the software is bugging out and I’m fearing that I’m just going to have to remake the whole darn thing in Unity. I have no desire to code anything in straight objC.

At any rate, I’m not looking to make anything complex, and am targeting the kids market. Is there a good starting point, set of resources, or book to walk me through the learning curve? Any suggestions are good ones. Thanks pals.

in my opinion you can just google for unity3d tutorial and can start right away if you can code. just read up on stuff you need for your game step by step.
