Getting the Following Monodevelop Error on Windows8/8.1!! Tried multiple PCs as well

Hi there,

Recently I installed Unity 4.3.4(latest version at the time of this thread) and when I opened Monodevelop I would receive an error. I have uploaded the images to the errors, to better understand the problem. This happens only on Windows 8/8.1 as I installed Unity on multiple windows 8/8.1 PCs and received the same error. Also an install on Windows 7 on another PC returned no errors.

I had the same problem and used the instructions from here to enable .NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel. This fixed it for me. Good Luck.
