Hi There! Help Needed!
We are experiencing some GFX problems in our level. The level is made in MAX and in Max everything looks fine. But when imported into Unity it shows blacklines flickering… as if some of the vertices are overlapping or not welded properly. See it here http://www.skumsproejt.dk/dadiu/bugs/
Have any of you experienced this before? if yes how did you solve it? Suggestions to what might be causing this are welcome
I see no issues there but can’t move so you perhaps wanted to show them somewhere else.
my guess is that you have coplanar surfaces that are just too close together. then you get zfights an often flickering lines / partial lines
Only thing i can think of other than what Dreamora said is maybe the shadow system. It can render flashing zfighting type artifacts at certain angles when your using it through an entire scene.
closer inspection of the model revealed that some places did have coplanar surfaces. This has now been fixed and it did remove some of the black lines but not all of them… could it may have something to do with incorrect UV mapping?
Problem solved…Rebuild the level from scratch… problem gone.
