This is a 10000-meter radius walkable mesh sphere that the player is standing on. The lava flow is animated.
And here’s the same sphere viewed from space. Using Unity’s built-in LOD system and cross-fade shaders made with Amplify Shader Editor. The player is able to walk on the surface and take off into orbit and land again. This will soon be added to Cosmoscape plus a floating origin system.
nice!, some more detail up close, , some elasticity and cracking motion, a post process heat distortion effect…and you’ll really be cooking.
