If a project is not open source does it fit into the Free/Private Repo category now?
Is the repo size larger than vs.com? Repo size is really important for game Dev purpose.
Github’s base repo size is 1 GB.

Yes, and that’s why other than very minor projects I wouldn’t bother with Github. It’s simply far too restrictive.
I think their bandwidth rates are so high to actively discourage binary media on their platform. The real cost of bandwidth when buying at scale is around $0.005 per GB. Average markup is around 10x to 15x for cloud hosting, but you can get it for around 2x cost if you shop around.
Github pricing is just so ridiculous, it seems they must have ulterior motives for doing that.
