Unity Indie is in the catalog, and if you add the cheapest four programs alongside it you can get all five apps–including Unity–for about $125. Good opportunity for people that need a license!
Interesting to note that even if you chuck the other applications in the bin, you can get the Unity Indie license down to nearly €100 by adding 4 other inexpensive applications to the “recipe” for the discount.
I just need to look closely at some of the other ingredients now…
Well then I would check any junk mail filtering you have. Or give it some more time. They will send you an e-mail with the serials (depending on what you bought). That e-mail also includes the 6 digit password linked to your e-mail address.
Also, if it’s possible you wrote the wrong e-mail address, visit the Forums for help on that.
Filled in the name location form. The location form would not accept my perfectly valid GB VAT number. >_< SO - I didn’t put one in. Next page. Filled out the CC Payment form. NP. Next page… An offer to join the free service “verified by visa” that wants all the same CC info again and will enroll me into a free program. … … … There was no way to get past this screen w/o joining. Back button. Resent Form Data. The previous page says that my transaction has already been processed.

No web confirmation. No email. Nothing.
I can’t tell whether I’ve succeeded in purchasing, failed, they’ve taken my money and given me nothing…
You peeps bought from these yahoo’s. What was your experience?
well I didn’t have to deal with VAT. But the visa thing is “for your own good”. I don’t think the transaction can complete without the visa confirmation. So your money should still be there. Clear your cookies and try it again.
However, I got all my serials within 15 minutes in the e-mail.
No, I assume they were legit, as this is round 2 of the discount.
What frustrated me was - When I was asked to sign up for the free “credit card protection service”, I wanted to choose not to accept. This step was tacked on the end of the purchase chain and seemed to be a second round of verification, but the fine print seemed to say (to me) that I was signing up to a “free service” to protect my credit card.
When I chose not to, the page dead ended, and I couldn’t tell whether the transaction had gone thru or not. When I went “back” the purchase page said “This transaction has been processed”. When I went forward again, the page had lost the chain of data, and I couldn’t now sign up for the CC Protection Plan even if I’d wanted to.
I just couldn’t tell whether I’d paid or not, and as they give NO REFUNDS, trying again and having two licenses for all that software seemed a bit overkill. (Hmmm… Dual Boxing Unity3D…)
In looking back at my previous post, I see that English can be ambiguous. I should have said: “…I can’t tell whether I’ve succeeded in purchasing, whether I’ve failed, whether they’ve taken my money and given me nothing…”
I’ll assume that they’ve not taken money, as my account still has no debit on it.
Probably should mention that Unity Technologies has nothing to do with the practicalities of running on this sale. So any problems you have, please contact the people behind GGF2YM:
Well, I talked to a Web Dev friend of mine, and I gather that this additional level of security is being pushed all over the net. After the original host releases your CC for approval, the additional VISA approval layer kicks in and shoves you over to your issuing bank thru the VISA pipe, suspending the payment process until the secondary approval has been confirmed. I’d just never encountered it before, and it was badly implemented.
My friend says they have problems with it all the time now, and until people get used to it, it will still be a shock.
I’ve re-made the purchase and I have my license numbers now!
Now that my last project is done, I hope to jump into Unity feet first next week.
