Why do all of my gizmos (assuming that’s what they’re called–referring to the little speaker icon for audio sources, projector icon for projector components, camera icons for camera objects, etc.) appear like little white boxes?
Next to the grass plane is the white box that is supposed to be an audio source of some kind. That’s what it appears as in editor view. This should not be the case, and only became this way when I upgraded to Unity 3.2.
I’m having a similar type of problem where my camera gizmo and the camera projection lines are not showing up in the scene view. I’m also not seeing any textures being rendered in scene view as well. It’s driving me nuts, I may have to just reinstall Unity and see if that fixes it.
It is an empty scene with the main camera selected. Notice there is not projection wires or icon visible. Any one have a clue about this? It is quite annoying and I’m not sure how or why it started doing this.
Hope someone can help figure this issue out or at least a way to completely wipe things out so I can try a true clean install.
I went ahead and filed a bug report a few days ago as I tried deleting my Unity folders under AppData (which wiped out my window layout settings) to no avail.
I’ll try the Revert Factory Settings option when I’m back at my home machine. If I figure anything out I’ll definitely post it up here.
Thanks for information, but reinstall didn’t work for me…
But I managed to pinpoint the cause. I have a “blob shadow projector” on my FirstPersonController, and when I remove it gizmos are back, visible as they should be (change is not seen immediately, save and reopen the project).
Also, if i play with Far and Near Clip Plane values of projector, gizmos are partially drawn or arrays of little gizmos appear, depending on clip plane values, and in console sometimes pops up an error:
