I have activated the gizmos button and checked all the components, but no further information is being displayed on the game window. What am I missing?

The gizmos are for the Scene view, not the Game view. If you want to draw some debug lines (for example to visualize a raycast) in the scene window you will have to do that yourself. If that’s what your looking for then take a look at how to draw debug lines in the scene window here.
Why would you need gizmos in the game window?
Do your stuff in scene window, it’s where gizmos would be visible.
The gizmos show up in the Scene view, not the Game view.
