I have a large scene I am making with a Terrain. I don’t know if the Terrain is relevant, but it conveys the scale of this process.
I kick of a global illumination bake and the process always gets stuck at 56% in step two of post processing.
I have tried switching from DirectX 11 to Vulkan and back in the player settings, and this has not fixed anything. This was also happening in version 2022.3.50f
System:
- Radeon RX 6700 XT
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- 16GB RAM
Any insight or guidance is appreciated.

Also occurs every THIRD bake on a small scene
Please fix this. 6000.0.22f1 had to end task because “waiting” GI.Tick
RTX 4090 / 64GB RAM
turn off denoiser?
Same problem here, stuck at post-processing 2/3 and hangs up on GI.Tick. Even in simple scene with unity’s objects. Other times it stucks at 29%, other times at other percentage, some times it randomly works.
I tried clearing the cache, i gave more GB to the cache etc. still the same.
Edit:
So far i am only able to get consistent non-crashing results with Progressive CPU , 20 lightmap resolution, 256 max lightmap size

In case you missed the message in the other thread. The multi-threading issue has been fixed and is available in Unity 6000.0.25f1.
