God Like Animation Problem

My character doesn’t lower his hips when he does a crouch, but lifts his knees up into the air and the hip stays in the same spot.

In motionbuilder the character is lowering his hips to the ground when he does a crouch.

I import the character and use a generic rig, create an animator controller, input the crouch animation and add that to the character animator controller.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I should correct this? I apologize if it’s an obvious fix, and appreciate any help

Try changing the rig to humanoid. If you are using mecanim, should be set to that.
