Heya
Whats the story with this, its annoying as hell…?
Theres some kind of “This has to be in this particular folder type thing” going on.
Whats the trick to getting the Grass on mesh generator to work?

did you get it working? last time i had that, starting a new project fixed it (drjones’ thread). never figured out why it happened. don’t think it was missing files or folders. maybe rebuild your assets?
Hey Pete,
No, its not a happening thing…I have yet to study and emulate Garens demo in pedantic detail.
No offence, but I think some confusion comes from using the package you put on the Wiki? Beacause you package contains all the core scripts and shaders, in a different folder location, when putting all available resources into one project we end up with multiple instances of them?
-Im not having a go at you, I just think theres something we could all learn from this. When it comes to “The Nature Assets” It would be easier to have one package to import. I realise that the Unitree project is (pun intended), “Growing organically”, and that organisation is tricky, But for now I move that all those assets are moved into the core nature demo, even if they exist in the project as prefabs, just to keep it as easy to use as possible. Sure people might argure otherwise, but I find if Im looking at adding trees, browsing the project window is better than browsing the net…
I’m sure all of this will be irrelevant upon the release of 2.0, so I’ll leave any centralisation of current Unitree stuff to the decision makers. My 2 c

I think UniTree is going to change focus when 2.0 comes out. Thanks to OTEE it looks like everything we wanted to acomplish has been added into the editor. So I could see UniTree as becoming an extensive library of plant models.
The models could be provided in different packages but all folow a similar folder organizaiton system. This way you could grab the packages that interest you and import them into Unity. - Jeff
well yep, don’t use my packages as part of “unitree” - they’re just packages. mainly for the textures and any models. i dump everything i don’t need to keep file size down. so they may be confusing. sorry bout that! post your project if you want a second look at it. don’t think the folder location or duplicate files would cause what you hit. well i guess maybe something funky with the dupes? i’d be surprised.
