Good Modeller For Low Poly Models?

Hi! I want to create a game using low poly models, but i am looking for an editor that is very simple to use. Hopefully one that you can kind of pick up and use. I know kf sculpting tools like this, but i want low poly models. I was hoping to be able to make models myself then find someone to program. Does anyone know of basic low poly software?

Generally any good modelling software will work. Low-poly is just another workflow and result, not something a program strives to be good at(in my opinion). Blender is a great choice, though it has some learning curve to it. But in the case of modelling in 3d, you have 2 learning curves, the software, and the general knowledge of how 3d and models work. Once you learn the second part, the 1st part is easier to learn for any given software. Note that this is similar to programming, where once you learn a language, other languages are easier to learn because you already know the concepts.

Ive tried Blender and even that was hard for me. Is there anything easier?

I’ve heard Wings3d is easier, but I don’t know for sure. If I’m not mistaken it doesn’t handle animation so you would possibly need another tool anyway.

Honestly, Blender is likely your best bet. It can do what you need, all in one package, even as far as basic texturing goes. Yes, the learning curve is there, but it will be for any software that is worth using. I’m betting you gave up too soon with Blender. What tuts have you tried? Have you attempted stuff and requested help here or on Blender’s community forums?

May be SketchUp ? This tool very simple.

I’d say learn blender if you really want to model stuff and don’t have $$ for maya or 3dsmax, blender is your friend. As far as learning you’ll have an easier time finding tutorials for blender than the more obscure modeling tools out there.

Bforartists is a much nicer interface over Blender. It still has a learning curve, but it makes more sense to most people who work with more professional programs.

Blender all day. Good community and a lot of models to test or buy if you need them.

depending on how lowpoly you want your models to be, you could use something like probuilder

if thats not enough, try sketchup, it won’t give you the freedom that professional 3d modeling software has, but it should be enough for a lot of stuff

if this is still not good enough, lern blender (or buy maya/max/cinema4d/modo… whatever, they all do the same)
there are a lot of resources available online to get started. if you follow some beginner tutorials for a day, you should be able to make basic models

Wings, Modo Indie, Blender - actually BforArtists is better to use imho, Silo3D, Anvl.
