Good price on Google Play for a game

Say if u had a well done a+ 5/5 star game
Is 2$ a good price to sell it for
some good games are selling for around 6$
do u think that it is to much or it’s fine
i want your opinions about how much u should sell your games for.

It depends on the type. If it’s an RPG, people will usually pay more ($6-$20). For quick action games, I think $1 is normal. no matter what you do you will always get the idiot who will say “The game only lasted 10 hours, should only cost a dollar!”, at which point you know their time is worth 10cents an hour.

True What do u think about paying for a game then paying for in game exclusives

Free / Lower prices on Google Play are the reason why most devs (especially AAA) just skip that platform and stay on iOS.
To help the market, just price your app like if you were pricing it on iOS.

Which would be priced at what?

I really don’t have a goddamn clue tbh
More seriously, I’d say a calculation of how your game places itself among the other same games of the same genre, plus a downscale if you’re an indie and you’re competing against big well-known studios. Right after that, there’s the overall added value factor.

zero!

yay for market saturation!

Don’t you buy games? Consider how much you’d spend on a game of the same type.

If you’re not an established mobile developer with a big fanbase, start on a lower price to build brand recognition and customer loyalty.
I’d go with $1.99

Price high, then have deals. Start it at 3-4 bucks and then have an opening weekend sale for 1-2 dollars, then put the price back up. Even do free for a day or so. People love saying…

“Ya I got this game for a dollar it was originally $6, so I saved $5 dollars” #oldest trick in the book

Check out what the top people are doing for your type of game and my best bet would be to do something similar. If it is 99c then use that, if its free with ads then try that out. I think the Android market is trending towards Free with in app purchases though. Actually the best way is to try all of them for a couple of weeks and see which one does the best. Business is all about testing and improving, even the top games like Angry birds and Fruit Ninja rotate their monetization schemes ones in a while to see which one works the best.
