Good solution to record iOS videos

Maybe old but I just found it today and the forum search did not show any results.

“Reflector” https://www.reflectorapp.com/
It records videos from iOS devices via airplay and works at great fps.

I’ve made an example with some random racing game (the video got compressed a second time for faster uploading):

I never used airplay before - I noticed gradients look worse, I guess this is an usual airplay issue?

So you played this, game on your device but recorded it from your pc?

Yes.

It is identical to play the game via airplay on Apple TV just on Mac/PC with the option to record at full resolution and quality of the stream. You can record homescreen and everything… like the awesome new 3D maps: Dropbox - Error - Simplify your life

Awesome.
This is cool. Is that where you love? Anyhow, I think Apples 3D map system is amazing. Perhaps they could have refined it a bit before releasing but oh well. So you think they just modeled each city, and placed images on each surface?? That’s a lot of pictures to take.

Already using it. It was called Reflection app so maybe that’s why it didn’t show up in search results.

Yes, I live and love there

Apple took over the swedish company C3 Technologies:

Their DSLR-equipped planes fly over cities in multiple passes, capturing an overlapping set of images; then C3’s computer-vision algorithms take over, using the differences in perspective between the images to build in stereoscopic depth

“The image processing software generates polygon structures and then the photos are draped over them to create the realistic look,” C3 spokesman Greg Spector told Co.Design. “This process is almost totally automated, so we can generate these maps quickly and cost efficiently.”

OK, anyway hope it helps some people. I’m pretty happy with it. My old solution to get decent fps was to capture screenshots with a script while running unity editor or to capture the unity editor with iShowU.

I didn’t mean that in a ‘you didn’t need to post this’ way. By the way, loving the look of WOTA so far, I’m following it on Facebook.

Nice app. Just tried it out and purchased it.

NOT working on iPad 1, but working good on iPhone 4S.

I just bought it, recorded a 30 second video but am waiting for about 5 minutes, STILL, for any sign of life. It is just stuck on “Saving Recording…” with no sign of progress on the progress bar.

edit:
Everything is working now. Must have been something on my end. Great product!
