Good trees that scale up well for virtual reality?

I’m working on a game for the oculus rift where the player is about the size of an ant, and I want to put in some huge trees to emphasize scale. I’ve been using the ones from the default unity package, but the leaves render weird in virtual reality, with some flickering effects or slight glittery kinda stuff (the scale of the trees might be emphasizing it, as they are around 110 scale) Does anybody know of good tree assets that would look good giant in vr?

Are normal tree game assets even going to work on that scale? The ones I’ve seen are pretty blocky because you need the poly counts low.

I know in Daz 3D the poly counts on their models are crazy insane high because their market is static scene rendering. So they probably have tree models that’d blow up well in close and I have had good luck decimating and bringing into Unity their models. But you’d need a game dev license so it wouldn’t make sense just for a tree or two.

You could try speed trees if you have the cash. Other wise you could consider making your trees two parts the base up to a certain height is one level of detail and the part above your cutoff is a different level of detail.
