I note the Google Maps Platform Press Release from March 2018 announcing the integration of the Maps APIs with Unity: “we’ve brought the richness of Google Maps to the Unity game engine. We turn buildings, roads, and parks into GameObjects in Unity, where developers can then add texture, style, and customization

…but I just can’t find any technical documentation of this on the Unity site or Google API documentation - and no discussion of it on StackOverflow. Has this actually been released?

The closest thread I can find to this topic is here, suggesting terrain.party back in Jan 2017.

Any technical pointers (API documentation) warmly appreciated!
