Hi I have recently released my game called Planetarium 2 - Zen Odyssey which I put a fair amount of effort in. I am not an experienced developer as many of you here. as I have self taught myself from scratch. I have released on many platforms such as iOS, Steam, and Android etc. But one problem I am facing so far is on Google Play! Some users are reporting the scene hangs when trying to load the first scene after the title screen and leaving a 1-star review.
I have tested myself manually by downloading through Google Play my self on devices such as:
Asus Zenpad 3s 10 - WORKS
Samsung Galaxy S6 - WORKS
Alcatel Pixie 4 - WORKS
Sony Xperia Tablet S - WORKS
and it is working fine as intended. Obviously I cant test it on all devices which people have but I have managed to replicate the hang on device such as
Samsung Galaxy S4 - NOT WORKING
A user here advised me to split the apk which I have
ARM-7 APK - Graphics APIs set to manual with OpenGLES2 first, followed by OpenGLES3
x86 APK - Graphics APIs set to Auto
Initially I had did it on FAT (ARM 7+x86) as I thought this includes both of them and is the same thing and delivers which ever APK for the device? But splitting it the problem still occurs it seems…as got another 1 star from someone using Galaxy Note 4 which I don’t have to test!
I am not sure where to start? Do i have a memory issue? confused as low end devices such as Alcatel Pixie 4 only have 1gb of RAM…and it works flawlessly…so not really sure what to do.
Further information I am using Unity 5.6
Please advise.
