Good morning every one,
I have developed a game which i published on Google Play Store 7 days ago, it is fully published, but i cannot find it neather in new games nor in category in which it is published.
I can only find it if I write the full name of it.
So the problem is i have still no downloads! Is there something wrong which i have to check!
disclaimer: all of this is third hand experience, I have no personal experience regarding the android market yet.
It seems google has removed there “What’s new” Category which seems to have a very big impact on the ability of people to discover your application.
Check these links for some more information:

Good luck
If your game has no downloads, then I don’t think it will turn up in the “New” categories (I believe that new games are listed in order, from best selling to least, or some such function). As joshimoo mentioned, there is no way I know of to see apps based on how new they are (independent of their sales/ranking).
What have you done for publicity so for for your app?
Well, there is much more work to do than simply upload your game. You need optimization, you have to look for reviews etc. Simply uploading won’t work for most of the part.
There could also be other reasons, i.e. AndroidManifest issues (which i.e. limit the number of compatible devices to a very low number).
Also the new Categories are only for games who perform well. Depending on the category you will have more or less competition. i.e. Action games have the highest competition. You need 1000s or 10000 of downloads in order to appear in the top 500 New action games, while other categories are easier to appear but also less visible. So if your game has no downloads it won’t appear there. The more downloads (and active usage, positive ratings etc.) you have the higher you will be in the “new xxx” lists and the more people will notice your game (which brings you further up).
This will last 30 days. Now you have already wasted 7 days. That’s why proper perpetration before publishing the game is necessary (contacting blogs and andorid websites about a review, notifying your community (forum, social media) which you should have built before the release etc.). All this will help to get initial downloads and to rank as good as possible in the new xxx categories.
I am one to vote this as bullshit. I call it bullshit now and I did it (The “Just In”) category was removed 1 year ago in the 3.x Android Market/Google Play App.
That’s just a lame excuse from people who put (some more some less) work in a game and just hit the publish button without doing any Marketing plan before release. Indie titles do not depend on some “Just in” feature to become a success or not, they depend on the community around the developer and you don’t start building up your community after you publish your game, you do it before you publish it. The Community is the key success for Indie developers. Of course there may be one or two examples who became popular without a community/marketing effort, but this are exceptions.
And even without a community, “organic traffic” (traffic from search results) are possible for a game that has not a single advertisement or any marketing outside of the Google Play. But it is work. You have to do research, you have to do optimizations to the games Google Play presentation, you have to experiment and most important you have to track the success of your efforts. Doing so, people will see how it works, how successful their change in the last experiment was etc.
Depending on the team size, it may take 1-2 hours every day just to analyze, optimize and track your games discovery which is obviously to much for most people. It is still free in terms of money, but you have to invest money vs. the previous “update a new version and change no code” from before.
The “Just in” category was just used by Spammers to spam their worthless apps and get downloads by keeping updating their crap apps every 1-2 weeks for [free] extra visibility.
why didn’t you post a link to your game in this thread?
Yeah, no kidding right? He’d probably have 3 downloads now and would be officially starting some actual marketing. ![]()
Thanks every one
Now I start to make publicity for my game, reviews ecc, for the moment i only have the trailer,
these are links:

You did not mention in the opening post that it’s a paid game. Usually when people refer to “downloads” it refers to free versions, and “sales” to paid.
You will probably will have to have wait some longer for your first purchases as people kind of hesitate to purchase unknown apps. Why you don’t have a free version where the user can try out the game before purchasing it? Cause of 100-1000 people who download a free game 1 of them is going to purchase
I would agree: the game is only $1, but it’s hard for me to tell from the information on the market whether or not I would actually enjoy it. The description could use some editing (for grammar, and to make a case for why people should download the game). The icon is not very appealing (to me: the flat orange background with orange text seems a little rough). The trailer looked fine, but I only saw your character running through a little part of one scene: I really don’t know what the game is about. From what I see on Google Play, I’d suggest a free (lite) version, or to go with an ad-supported version or use IAP to monetize the game.
Oke Thanks, now I will make some changes, and probably , I 'll make this for free!
Thanks everyone!
Wait, are you seriously posting the Digital tutors Unity games exemple on the playstore and making people pay for it ?!
Don’t you have no shame ?
(link to the actual tuto : http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?vid=13790)
lol Apparently not. Hopefully he at least added his own story line.
But a word of advice to the OP: if you want to put demos/tutorials up and earn money, pick a store with less competition (like the developer who put Angry Bots on the Nook):

I didn’t know they had a XXX category!
