Didn’t you guys recently made some Google research with :
Vector3 tutorial
Matrix tutorial
Lookat Vector3 script
Quaternion tutorial
etc…
… and always getting dozen of pages result from Unity’s documentation, forum, or other Unity’s related communities?
Well, I am just looking for very low level tutorial from Vector3, Quaternion, IA, etc related to Game Dev…
of course if you add C++ or openGL with those key words you’ll find what you was looking for.
Of course I am an Unity user for years, but always looking for pure Mathematics resource to understand how things are working.
Did you experienced the similar problem on your side? or only my Google is fucked?
It is not Unity fault, is Google because they are indexing everything you see on the internet and since you are most of the time on Unity site, is going to serve you Unity pages first in the results. Try to clear all your history/cache/cookies in your browser and you might get other results than Unity pages.
BUT… dont expect this to work 100%. I suspect Google is personalizing results based on your geo location and most of the times with major differences in results. In my opinion, Google is no longer a tool to find things you need fast and accurate, but a giant marketing spy who look at your browsing history and serve you ads based on pages you open.
One other solution to get underindexed results is to use other search engines, like Bing, Yahoo or whatever you might find.
Using ‘fucked’ to describe poor search results is rather high school dropout language but Google is generally useless except as a spell checker when entering in some top level domain that you know has what you are looking for, like amazon.com for example.
Yeah, in my search of vector math Yahoo pages came up second. Unity pages, when you do find something useful are obsolete so fast too; besides often being generally wrong or a bad way to do things.
Somewhere is an MIT free resource in online education. I think I need to bookmark that…
