Google Sketchup Models to Unity

Ok so i made a simple building in Google Sketchup(which is great for its simplicity) but being i only have the free version and cant afford the full version i exported my model as a .dae file. When i try to inport this into 3ds max or blender an error message appears and wont let me inport the model. I tried inporting directly into Unity 3d as well but it appears only as a 2d flat shape. Anybody have any suggestions on what i should do besides getting Sketchup Pro?

If you are on Windows, try this.

Hey my friend… it became a 2d shape because you exported it wrong. First of all before exporting file to any file format make it sure theres no currently selected face, point or line in the model. Just click any where in the working environment in sketchup so no face or lines are active.
