Will unity be able to support this?.

this sounds interesting… broader audience.

cheers,

There are other posts about this already, but mostly, read the latest unity blog post at unity3d.com

I just saw the blog and this gamasutra article.

sounds awesome.

Without a doubt, this is very exciting, and has some serious potential to be a game-changer.

No more need for a plug-in install to run Unity content in a browser? That, alone, is amazing.

The whole argument, I am sure we have all had to deal with, regarding “Flash’s install base is larger, etc, etc, etc” goes right out the window. If this takes off well, it will no longer matter whose “install base is larger” as there will no longer be an install base to measure.

Add to it some hinting at Google showing Unity a small bit of preferential treatment, and I think we may have the start of something great.

Gotta remember there still IS an install base to measure, and it’s how popular the chrome browser is and whether other browsers add support for the Native Client thingamy.
