Got an email from a customer

Who said how much they liked BeatQuest , although I never really finished it. . Now in this email they talked about how while they had to play the game on a friends phone , but it was their favorite beat making app on android . When the customer told me the phone they had, something so slow their no way I could ever support it, I had to tell them that I couldn’t make the app work for them .

What I took away from this :

First, even if you personally feel something isn’t really done , others might still find value with it . This is very true with android where the standards for apps are lower.

Secondly, with android, we will never be able to support everyone . Their will always be value Android phones that simply aren’t built for gaming( the phone this customer was using actually came out late last year )

double true… I’m surprised everyday by stories I hear from gamers.

I’ve had similar where people pm on youtube wanting to know where they can buy the game based off a WIP video which I felt wasn’t nearly ready. Feels good.

Sadly I haven’t even been able to use Unity for 8+ weeks, I have a few games I need to wrap up that I was very close to publishing, but got a benign skull base tumor out of nowhere one day messing my eye up to the point I can’t read documentation, and the meds sap any creativity I used to be filled with. :frowning:
