Graphics Test

Hi All

We are looking at using Unity to create hi end visuals without having to use Unreal Engine 3 we have the option if needed, here is a test running on an 8800GT no post work,

No AA as this uses image effects, but shown on a Plasma you lose the jaggies so no big deal.

This is just a lighting test so not loads of details, the next version will have mega poly details etc, this lacks a little contrast and the floor is flat as no details added yet.

Thanks

Andy

promising.

Please let this be real. If Unity can spit out visuals like this then I’ll be very happy.

Working on a Dead Rising type of game?

Sure it can. In any case, most of how good something looks depends on the art rather than the engine. Good art + low-end engine > bad art + high-end engine.

I go to the super market because i’ve got no choice… (too much time behind my lcd screen @ town.com)

no serioulsy, is it a virtual supermarket project? cause it’s in the period, i think.

Yes snapshot off engine bud, Unity is awesome!! and will save use 50k + engineering a front on Unreal 3. Only down side is no lightmapping or material ed, apart from that the software works very well.

Hence we’ll most pro be ordering another batch of Pro Licenses.

We are not making shops ha ha, it just happened to be a simple model we had, we’ll be working on a full environment soon.

Watch this space…

Thanks for comments

Mr Sweet and his team.

Any chance of a webplayer? ;]

Very Nice work, cant wait to see more.

@infocommercial: Unity can generate visuals like this and even better, just with good art and proper use of shaders.

Cheers, likewise! nice stuff on your site. Where in the UK are you out of interest.

Regards a web player, on the next version sure thing :-), may even upload the scene files.

Thanks
Andy

Looking at the shot, it appears to be the most beautiful scene I’ve seen in Unity.

Congratulations. :]

The artists are worthy of praise.

Have you considered submitting it to the online gallery?

Thanks in advance for the web player, we love to be inspired by works of art like these.
