Grappling graphic

Hey guys, I really need help with this one. This has probably been asked before, but I have no idea, about what its called, and therefore I can’t google it. I was wondering, how you make the graphics (or mesh?) for objects, you don’t know how long are gonna be. For example, how would you make Roadhog’s (from Overwatch) hook? Or a kamehameha? Or even just some effects following an object.

You create the mesh dynamically - look at the examples here: Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making

Try using the line and trail renderers. If you can get them to work right it looks really cool.
